Family Secrets and DNA Tests

So I've got a birthday coming up and I was thinking about asking family members about getting a DNA test as my birthday present.  Does anyone have any recommendations?

The reason why I want one is because this past year I found out that the guy I thought was my grandfather wasn't really my biological grandfather.  And, because certain people wanted this man's identity to remain a secret and took this secret with them to their grave, we now know very little about my grandfather.  In fact, the only thing I know for certain about him is that he was a diplomat working in Washington, D.C.

So if anyone can recommend a DNA test agency that is reputable and reliable I would love to hear from you!

Blessings and Shalom,

Peter

  1. Ancestry.com. It takes less than six weeks, and it will be updated as the technology improves. Plus, it will be easy to get your relatives also tested.

  2. In tech circles, 23andme.com is quite reputable.
