"Nathan Sharanksky, when he was the Israeli minister of Jerusalem and diaspora affairs, developed a simple formula, which he called the "3D" test to help distinguish legitimate criticism of Israel from antisemitism--demonization, double standards, and delegitimization.
He wrote: 'The first 'D' is the test of demonization. When the Jewish state is being demonized; when Israel's actions are blown out of all sensible proportion; when comparisons are made between Israelis and Nazis and between Palestinian refugee camps and Auschwitz--this is antisemitism, not legitimate criticism of Israel.
'The Second 'D' is the test of double standards. When criticism of Israel is applied selectively; when Israel is singled out by the United Nations for human rights abuses while the behavior of known and major abusers, such as China, Iran, Cuba, and Syria, is ignored; when Israel's Magen David Adom, alone among the world's ambulance services, is denied admission to the International Red Cross--this is antisemitism.

So, assuming the world accepts this man as the arbiter of what is legitimate critisism of Israel (obviously they don't but lets pretend), which test did my comments identify me as a hater?

Steve, until you and yours are on the receiving end, you are not qualified to decide what antisemitism is or is not, so drop off the silliness. You know nothing about Israel beside what you read in the biased media.

I suppose our State Department doesn't know anything about Israel either, or the UN, or the media, or the Palestinians, or the Jews who make the same criticisms. Are they are all just ignorant and uniformed. Or just me?
Anyway, may God bless Israel, that's what I really want anyway. When Israel gets it right and the Law of Love goes forth out of Zion, Israel will be well loved.
Steven, Your ignorance is for all to see. When was the last time they came to your house and murdered your wife and children? When was the last time they bombed the bus you were riding? When was the last time they round your people up and sent them to the ovens? you talk about things you have no knowledge of except from what you read from the biased media. Perhaps you would like to actually engage me and my opinions rather than condescension, as though I am less than a bug because I didn't have your experience. But, I support your right to say whatever you want to.

ReplyDeleteIts extreme rhetoric because I never wrote about bombs on buses, people killed in ovens, etc. You use these things to make yourself big and meanancing and for the purpose of exerting power over me. I learned to recognize a bully on the first grade playground.

These 3 were given to suggest I have done one or all of these things to put me on the list of antisemetic rather than just a critic.
Engage me by showing me where my comments demonized Israel, applied a double standard, or denied Israels right to exisit.

You are patronizing Israel. "One day they will know the Lord," And you ignore the rest of the world that hate the Lord. This is double standard my friend. Clean up your own back yard first. How do you expect Israel to know the Lord when you are patronizing it in the name of the Lord? Do like Paul did first, to the Jew become a Jew. Go live among them, learn from where they are coming from and then maybe you can give your opinion. By you talking to them from your high horse the only thing you do is to close the door in front of them knowing the Lord.

ReplyDeleteThe reason I ignore "the rest" is due to the prophecy does not say "the Torah will go forth out of the Gaza Strip."
The torah will go forth out of Zion. Don't you think: "To whom much is given much is required." A high expectation of Israel, not because of a double standard,but because they have the torah.
And your patronizing will sure help them...You know nothing about today's Israel....

ReplyDeleteI don't get the criticism. Non-Jews who identify with Israel will also be targeted. I had a friend who became a supporter of Israel because she had a Jewish sounding name, and was mocked for that and accused of hiding a Jewish identity. I guess she decided she may as well wear the shoe that fit.
