  1. One day Israel will love its neighbor and the foreigner within as itself. Will turn the other cheek, do good to those that mistreat it, and love her enemies. The law of love will go forth out of Zion to the entire world.

  2. Steven,

Wow, your hatred toward Israel has completely distorted your view of reality!

  3. Why do you distort my view as hatred? My view is the same as Yeshua's view. One day Israel will obey the Son of God.

Is it hatred that I believe Israel will one day hear the Master's voice and obey his commandment?

"Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

    But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

  4. I’m going to comment here only because I feel Jewish people in general are being poorly characterized and I believe Judaism in general is being misrepresented. It is among many of the highest principles in Judaism to treat all others kindly, Jews and Gentiles, because we are all created in God’s image.

Some time ago, I compiled a list of Talmudic references illustrating the Jewish view of Gentiles. I can hardly say that each and every Jewish person operates within those principles, but then again, we Gentiles are hardly squeaky clean, either.

Judaism 101 also has information about Judaism and kindness, which includes treating the non-Jew with respect.

  6. James, the reality is hatred, division, and violence. Or, should we pretend the problems don't exist? When will people realize that Yeshua has the solution. Love God with all heart and Love thy neighbor as thyself.

  7. Steven,

Israel's human rights record is exemplary--they've demonstrated love toward their neighbors and need no reminder from the likes of you.

  8. Peter, I get it. You believe Israel is above reproach so any critisism is characterized as hatred.

  9. Have you been listening to John Kerry again? http://www.politico.com/story/2014/04/barbara-boxer-john-kerry-apartheid-israel-106119.html

  10. Any legitimate
discussion on negative aspects of Israel’s policy's and deliberate actions is
characterized as hatred. Hmmmm...what spirit is behind that? I will not try to change anyone’s mind; I will
leave that to the politicians. But, I firmly believe Yeshua
taught the only way forward for Israel and pray each day that the nation will
embrace his teachings. The other way “seems
right to a man, but the end is death.”

  11. Steven,

Not so. I believe that legitimate criticism of Israel is helpful; it is only illegitimate criticism of Israel that often arises out of hatred. I'll create a new blog post to explain.
