  1. This is How to Respond to Terrorism: Jesus style

    "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

It's not easy to love your enemies, but events such as these really reveal those who have the Spirit of Christ, and those who do not.

  2. I understand what you are saying and agree to a point, but as a father with wife and children, what is my responsibility for their protection and provision? Doesn't the Israeli government have similar responsibilities to her citizens? Has the Israeli government not been long-suffering and measured in their responses? What other government warns its enemies what specific targets are to be hit so that minimal loss of life occurs?

Frankly, the same One who stated your above quote also sent Israel to war and ordered them to 'utterly destroy' entire enemy camps and cities. (Who was the Captain of the Lord of hosts in Joshua 3 or so... when Jericho was taken down?) The same yesterday, today and forever.

Yes, there is a time for peace and turning the other cheek, but there is also a time for war and a clenched fist. I propose that the time for war has long passed and Israel is completely justified!

  3. Talk is cheap....Let's see when you and yours are on the receiving end....I bet you will not be so smug...Stick to things you know....

  4. See, the ugly heads arise that think they are better than the King. They not only do not have the spirit of Christ, they actually think and believe he did not know what he was talking about and don't bother to follow his teaching.

I know all about having a loved one murdered. I forgave the murderer because I am a true follower of Jesus Christ.

I know personally about forgiveness of murder. So, shut up Dan and get with the program. If you can't live up to Jesus teaching, at least stop pretending to be a Christian.

  5. I am not a Christian, so please don't shame me with this title. And don't pay lip service to "Jesus teaching," He was a Jew and you know nothing what does it mean to be a Jew or what does it mean to live in Israel in the midst of savages nations. Peddle your "Jesus kumbayah" to someone else....

  6. Dan, here is some more of your scripture to spit on:

"Proverbs 16:7 When a man's ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him."

  7. Ah, you think Israel should go to war. You are not concerned with the innocent women and children that would die? When the war really gets going and hundreds of thousands of men, women, and children are blown up, killed and maimed, starved, put in camps, etc.

Here is some "Jesus Kumbaya" I'm fond of peddling. lol

"Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword."

Do you think that includes Israel, however justified?

  8. Two quick verses that come to mind as evidence that Israel is justified:

Zechariah 12:2 “Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah. 3 It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it. 4 In that day,” declares the Lord, “I will strike every horse with bewilderment and his rider with madness. But I will watch over the house of Judah, while I strike every horse of the peoples with blindness. 5 Then the clans of Judah will say in their hearts, ‘A strong support for us are the inhabitants of Jerusalem through the Lord of hosts, their God.’

6 “In that day I will make the clans of Judah like a firepot
among pieces of wood and a flaming torch among sheaves, so they will consume on the right hand and on the left all the surrounding peoples, while the inhabitants of Jerusalem again dwell on their own sites in Jerusalem.

    Isaiah 11:14 They will swoop down on the slopes of the Philistines on the west;
Together they will plunder the sons of the east; They will possess Edom and Moab,
And the sons of Ammon will be subject to them. 15 And the Lord will utterly destroy
The tongue of the Sea of Egypt; And He will wave His hand over the River With His scorching wind; And He will strike it into seven streams And make men walk over dry-shod. 16 And there will be a highway from Assyria For the remnant of His people who will be left, Just as there was for Israel In the day that they came up out of the land of Egypt.

"There is a time to tear apart and a time to sew together...there is a time for war and a time for peace."

Bet your bippy, when the King returns, it will be WAR!

  9. Pete, I'm going to make this final comment before leaving this thread.

This explains the Spirit of Messiah Yeshua:

"And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them."

The heart of Yeshua is to bring the Gospel to these people who are in the bondage of lies, both Muslims and Jews, out of darkness and into the light of the truth. In reality, without Christ, there will never be enough bloodshed. The cycle of hatred and violence on both sides will continue, innocents will be murdered and people will feel "justified" in retribution. But, vengence belongs to G-d alone.

Enough said, you either see it and accept it or not. As for me, I am learning not to argue so will stop now. Search your heart and see if you also want to "save mens lives" or "destroy them."

  10. We see God command Israel when coming into the land to destroy the women and children in scripture, in a few scenarios... how do you feel about that?

I am not advocating for such, but I wonder how you deal with the consistency of God's word, it seems your view is out of balance.

  11. Steven, I don't want to argue either, so will leave the thread with a final comment.

Yeshua is not just a Lamb. He returns as a Lion! Further, He would be displeased with me if I allowed violence to continually be perpetrated on my family while I did nothing. I have a responsibility to protect them. The Israeli government has a greater responsibility to its citizens, else the shed blood of her citizens is on their heads. Zion said it right in a comment below: 'your view is out of balance.'

  12. So the Jews and the Muslims are in a bondage of lies but your brother the Gentile drunk is not...We all get it now Jew heater....
