Tim Hegg Responds to My Recent Post on Oral Torah and Matthew 23

Moments ago I just received notification that Hegg responded to my recent post entitled "[Respectfully] Challenging Tim Hegg's View That Yeshua Did Not Endorse Oral Torah in Matthew 23".  I'm going to start reading it now.

  2. I responded with vigor. : )

I think the Messianic world is going to appreciate the ensuing dialogue.

  3. Sorry, but vigor cannot replace knowledge.....

  4. So you're saying that David Stern has no knowledge?

    That's pretty arrogant of you.

You see, two can play the same game....

"I responded with vigor" he said as he was wiping the egg off his face.....

  6. David Stern writes:

"There could never have been a time when tradition of some sort was not a necessary adjunct to the written Torah -- for the written Torah simply does not contain all the laws and customs needed to run a nation. For this there is evidence even in the Pentateuch."

  7. "However, he does make some extremely bizarre assertions that run counter to the Tanak."

And Stern in his CJB using Yiddish is not bizarre?

You should apologize to Hegg instead of opening your ignorant mouth, what he already forgot, you will never learn.

  8. No, using Yiddish in a translation isn't bizarre. What IS bizarre is to suggest that Scripture could ever have existed without an authoritative tradition to help us understand the written Torah.

Yeshua gave me a heart to defend the written Torah and the Traditions of the Fathers which are, as Stern puts it, a necessary adjunct to the written Torah.

You want to hurl insults at me? Here's my response: may you be blessed! : )
