What Happens to the Messianic Gentiles if All the Messianic Jews Make Aliyah???

"So shall ye divide this land unto you according to the tribes of Israel," Ezekiel 47:21
I have a sincere question.  Anyone feel free to answer.  We in the One Law movement talk about how much we hate "Bilateral Ecclesiology" which is a fancy term that the UMJC came up with for their utopian Messianic Judaism:  separate communities for Jews and Gentiles.  We hate that idea because we love fellowship between Jews and Gentiles.  I love Jews with all my heart!  I hate the idea of separation.  And so I'm forced to wonder...

What would happen to the Gentiles if all the Messianic Jews made Aliyah?

Believe me I'm not saying they shouldn't return to their ancestral homeland as is their right--I'm just wondering how a mass exodus would affect us Gentiles!

I know most people will say that's a silly question, that there's no chance of that happening...  But we live in a day when G-d is calling Jews back to their homeland as many suffer persecution, as many countries that had once been allies of Israel turn out to be enemies of Israel...

Jerusalem was always a rally point for Believers in the G-d of Israel...  "Next year in Jerusalem."

Is it not a rally point for us Gentiles?

I just recently finished a book that has me doing a lot of thinking.  And, to help answer those questions, I was given another book yesterday that deals with Israel in Prophecy.  I'm going to read it and do some more thinking.  In the mean time, I would appreciate anyone's thoughts on the question:

What would happen to the Gentiles if all the Messianic Jews made Aliyah?

  1. But all the Jews will make aliyah. It's part of what the Messiah accomplishes upon his return. Here are a few examples.

"For the Israelites will live many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred stones, without ephod or idol. Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the LORD and to his blessings in the last days."

    -Hosea 3:4-5

"I will bring you from the nations and gather you from the countries where you have been scattered -- with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with outpoured wrath."

    -Ezekiel 20:34

As you well know, there are many more promises God made to the Jewish people through the prophets about their eventual return to their Land, to Israel. As for the rest of us? We will live in our nations and probably plan our vacations around the moadim.

Interestingly enough, a few days ago, my wife (who, as you know, is Jewish and not Messianic) briefly toyed with the idea of us making aliyah. No, I'm not Jewish but as her spouse, I could still "come along for the ride," so to speak. So to answer your question, if the world's population of Jews were to make aliyah tomorrow (and given the sharp rise of anti-Semitism in the world today including America, that might be a good idea), those who are intermarried would take their Gentile spouses with them.

I wouldn't worry though. I suspect that there will still be plenty of Jews in the diaspora when Messiah returns if, for no other reason, so that Messiah can fulfill prophesy.

    1. James,

RE: "As for the rest of us? We will live in our nations and probably plan our vacations around the moadim."

Nation is really just a mindset. Keep in mind that Israel had 2 nations: the Northern Nation and the Southern Nation. This was a faulty national mindset; they should've imagined themselves as belonging to a single nation of Israel but they did not. They should've imagined Jerusalem as the capital. The Northern Nation imagined Samaria as their capital.

      The imagining was wrong.

What capital should the Gentiles imagine is their capital? Should we not imagine Jerusalem as our capital too?

    2. And, James,

What happens to the Gentiles who actually believe Scripture and love the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and learn to walk in His ways as He commanded? We get to pay the price of the anti-Semite while being denied unity with our brothers in the land?

Many, many prophecies call for those joined to Israel to be in the land walking One Torah. (I remind you of the inconvenient truth: Israel is not synonymous with Jew/Judah.)

Unfulfilled: Ezekiel 37:16; 47:22-23; Is. 11:11-16, to point out a couple.

From a purely logistical and tactical standpoint, there aren't enough Jews on the planet to hold down the area of land prophesied to belong to Abraham (Nile to Euphrates, Mediterranean to middle of Iran...). They are going to need help and will call when the time comes.

BTW, contextually, Hosea 3:1 does not point to Judah who has kept Torah these many centuries.... Go back to Hosea 1:6-7 and see that the author differentiates between two groups...

    3. Peter, the whole world will be ruled by King Messiah from Jerusalem so indeed the global capital will be Jerusalem. That said, it makes America and the other countries vassal nations to Israel, not part of Israel. Israel was, is, and always shall be the nation of the Jews.

    4. James,

You said it yourself--if the seat of power in the world is Jerusalem then it must follow that Jerusalem is the global power and to think otherwise would be to reject Yeshua's sovereignty over the entire planet.

    5. Meant to say "Jerusalem is the global capital". Haven't had my coffee yet.

    1. Yeshua the King is my father too. I have the right to worship Him in the capital of His global kingdom.

    2. As a guest. But that is not enough for you, right? You want to take over the whole anchilada....

    4. Dan,

I love my family. Why would I want "to take it over"? How is viewing Jerusalem as the emblem of Am Yisrael, as a microcosm of the family, how does that imply that I want to destroy it? The enemy wants to take it over. I want Yeshua to return to Jerusalem and establish His global Messianic Kingdom. I want to see the borders of Israel enlarged to encompass the entire world.

Does that sound anti-Semitic to you?

What in the world are you talking about?

  3. Was it God who had Jerusalem destroyed and the temple removed? Why did he allow the gentiles to trample it? Why is it REPLACED by New Jerusalem?

    1. The New Jerusalem doesn't happen until after the seventh millennium. There is yet a third temple prophesied. See Ez. 40-48. The Prince will rule/reign from there to fulfill myriad prophesies.

  4. Did God call Jerusalem spiritual Sodom and Egypt? Should we align ourselves with spiritual sodom?

"And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified."

    1. You may want to go read Isaiah 62 very slooowly.

  5. Pete, do you think the 2 witnesses is a past event and now Jerusalem is not spiritual Sodom?

    1. I think I am commanded to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and I think Jerusalem is the apple of YHVH's eye. He does not take lightly any who disrespect or disparage the city. Let HIM be the Judge and you simply be a light by shining love and compassion.

    2. BTW, if the city is so bad, why are the two witnesses in the city? If God hates it so much, why does He send them to call it into account? If He is not angered by their treatment, why does He judge?
