What You Owe to Six Million Jews

Immediately following the Shoah, the winds of global antipathy toward the Jewish race shifted, if ever so briefly, toward sympathy, a vast sea of anti-Zionism parted down the middle, and the remnant of Jewry at last found a way back to the Land.

But how can we enjoy the Land now?  How can one hope to merit the terrible cost of the Land?  How can one sing and joy at harvest times when one remembers people like Anne Frank, the exuberant, optimistic, young girl that the Nazis at Belsen transformed into an emaciated wraith.

The restoration of the state of Israel blessed all Believers.  Six million lives redeemed Israel and blessed Believers (for the re-establishment of Israel benefited all Believers), gave an immeasurable gift to all of us.  Should we accept such a gift and then refuse to help the ones who gave us this gift?

When Yeshua returns we must in all respect and humility entreat Him to redeem the souls of those who blessed so many.  Like Abraham our Father who entreated the Judge of the Universe to show mercy to his family, we must one day, face to face with Yeshua, entreat Him to show mercy to the Six Million (and others).  If you are a Believer then those Six Million are members of your family.

You owe them that much.

So, your saying that we owe Hitler for the homeland of Israel....without his murder there would be no restoration?

    1. Anonymous,

Perhaps you are on medication and it's causing you to confuse my blog with someone else's blog, someone who only says moronic things. By the way, if you want to put words in people's mouths, try a different blog. This isn't the place for that sort of thing.

  2. Peter, sorry.....I can't make sense of what you are saying. To me, it sounds like you are saying we owe murder victims for being murdered if it brings about a good result.

Not putting words in your mouth, asking for clarification of what you are trying to say because it does not make any sense to me. Sorry.

    1. It's okay. Just be careful when phrasing something as "you're saying" when the speaker never said such. Try something like "Would you say that...?"

All I'm really saying is that we should pray for those souls. If my rationalization of WHY we should pray for them is wrong then what have we lost? We've simply prayed for people. Is that so risky?

I don't know why the Shoah happened. But it is a historical reality that the global attitude toward Jewry shifted ever so briefly after the Shoah.

Also, I would disagree with your assessment of them as being mere victims. I see them as martyrs for Judaism, heroic individuals who took a stand for their faith and paid the price. And I'd also like to point out that they died trying to help others, trying to maintain faithfulness to G-d even despite the threat of death. Also, where they were able to organize, they were able to kill many Nazis.
